Compliance Surveys Limited has added another service to its portfolio.

The majority of people in the UK are unaware that lead, within layers of paint often buried for years, can still create a toxic threat to health.  This is a problem that affects the majority of buildings, especially homes and schools.  Young children and women (especially during pregnancy and breast-feeding) are most vulnerable.
The only way to understand the extent to which this may affect you, your family or colleagues is through lead surveys and lead paint testing whenever and wherever the work involves the disturbance of existing paintwork.
Potential lead paint and dust hazards on a project need to be identified and quantified as early as possible.  This allows for the proper evaluation of the options to remove or replace, encapsulate or paint over affected areas and components. Lead surveys are a legal requirement for commercial projects where paintwork is liable to be disturbed, regardless of the age of the building/s.

Compliance Surveys will sample any suspected areas. Have the sample analysed at an accreditted laboratory and provide a full report of the findings.

Compliance Surveys awarded L.C.A. accreditation.

Compliance Surveys are the only independent firm of Chartered Surveyors with membership of the Legionella Control Association.

This is a testament to the standards achieved in their provision of water risk assessments surveys, Legionella management plans, advisory work and off-site analytical services.

Site surveys and the production of Legionella management plans have already been provided to many dental surgeries in the Midlands and Yorkshire.

Northcliffe, Shipley and Alwoodley Golf Clubs all employed Compliance Surveys to produce their Legionella management plans. Julie Slater, Manager of Alwoodley, was particularly pleased with the work.

“We originally had a survey and Legionella management plan written by a well-known plc, and to be honest, it was almost impossible to understand. Compliance Surveys produced a concise, easy to read report that enabled us to put a robust Legionella management plan into action, using our own staff, ensuring the safety of both members and visitors to one of the finest golf clubs in Yorkshire. I would recommend them to anyone.”

Awareness of Legionella is increasing. Current legislation requires businesses to assess their hot and cold water systems and take appropriate action to minimise the risk of infection
